You can not - even if you keep an eye on the symptoms.

You should consult your doctor for a rectal examination (DRE) once a year to draw more than 50yrs of age (named after the model of Australia, not sure what country you are) and can also be viewed on a PSA blood test.

The symptoms you should: Search
Leakage of urine, pain, difficulty starting urination, blood in the gutter, a constant feeling of urine in the bladder, etc.

Some of these symptoms may be normal for age, but if you about everything you're worried go to your doctor.

I'm sure someone will suggest a fun way of self-DRE that are not medically necessary, because if you have long fingernails in the world, you do not feel able to do what you feel.

They do not. You should consult your doctor, there are several ways to (each with its own pros and cons of search), but none of them is something that you be able to do at home.
